When my daddy brought me to the hotel everybody was already waiting in
the lobby. Miss Thuy had invited me to accompany the group of Japanese.
She looked relieved when I arrived. I asked permission from the hotel staff
and called a taxi. While we were waiting for the taxi a Japanese person
asked me several questions in English. The taxi arrived and we all got
in. We were going to meet with street children. We arrived at Tao Dan,
a very big place that did not look as a very poor building.
We went up to the 2nd floor and saw many drawings at both sides of the
walls. I was told that all drawings were done by street children. There
were many and I realized that all of them had a meaning. They show the
talents of the street children. They were full of natural vivacity. I was
happy to be able to talk with a girl bigger than myself that was drawing
a picture of the country side. She said that she was not good at drawing,
but it was not true, she was just humble.

Before I could say something to all, somebody introduced me saying, "Here
is a small friend from Japan. She wants to say a few words in Vietnamese."
I happened to be that person. People praised me as a smart girl. Then,
several performances happened.
Tao Dan is a place for street children where friends draw pictures, tease
each other and have fun together; all children are like me. On the other
hand, the difference is that, although they are under one roof in the same
building, these friends can not enjoy a warm roof under which they can
live, nobody takes care of them. As for me, I am similar to these friends,
but I enjoy more things in life. I have a father and mother that love me
and make my daily life enjoyable. I strongly desire that Tao Dan's elder
brothers and sisters and all other friends could, like me, be able to enjoy
their lives. Thank you very much for all your kind efforts to provide a
warm roof to all these street children. I want to meet my friends in Tao
Dan again and tell them something interesting that is useful to them.
